The Main Hall is a multi-functional facility which can seat up to 180 people and has capacity for 280 standing. The hall is used by a number of groups such as martial arts, keep fit, ballet/dance schools, orchestras, toddler group and educational classes as well as for fund raising events such as our annual Ceilidh. It has its own kitchen containing an electric cooker, microwave, fridge and hot water heater and is an ideal room to hold that party you always wanted! The Hall has recently been decorated and has had a new amplification and loop system installed.
The Meeting Room has a relaxed atmosphere and can cater for approximately 40 people. It is ideal for training programmes and meetings.
The room comes fully equipped with a projector and screen plus seating. For large numbers of seats please arrange your requirements on booking.
The Art Room is preferred by Tai Chi, Lakeland Voices and, not surprisingly, our art groups. The room has stools and tables designed specifically for arts and craft work and has its own sink unit. It can also be used for training programmes or for meetings for up to 40 people.
The Quiet Room is an ideal location for one to one chats where privacy is paramount. This room is used by, amongst others, counsellors and health visitors. It seats a maximum of 3 people and provides a comfortable and relaxed area for interviews and consultations.
The Detached Room is located at the rear of the main building and is much used by training groups and for meetings. It can seat up to 40 people and offers excellent access for any disabled users.
Our “Brand New Room”, is located on the first floor of the building – access via stairs only. The room is self contained, offering you the chance to make your own refreshments within your room. It can seat up to 60 people (Theatre Style) and is great for meetings etc, full use of the projector screen, flip chart, chairs and tables.
Our recently refurbished kitchen enables Centre users to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee if they wish. The Centre requests a donation of 50p from anyone making use of this facility.
The Centre has car parking sufficient to accommodate 25 average sized cars – unusual in a location so close to the town centre and extremely helpful for those with mobility problems.
